"God, Place the Right Counsel Around Me"

So many of us carry burdens that God has already placed answers for in the people around us.

You know that moment when you’re just thinking?

There was a day I was talking with my family, and later I just sat with it. I was asking God, “Lord, how true is this? Help me. Guide me.”

I trust my family a lot. They’re strong spiritually, by God’s grace. So in my heart I was like, “God, if this is You, You’ll show them too.”

And while I was sitting in that thought, it dropped in my spirit,“That’s why we need to pray this every time: God, place the right counsel around me.”

I paused. Because it’s so true. Just imagine me now, on my own, trying to figure it all out. But God doesn’t always speak to us directly. Sometimes He speaks through mature, spiritual people around us. People who aren’t just giving opinions. They’re saying what God actually showed them.

And sis, a day later… confirmation came. Boom. My family called me with the exact same thing. “This is what God told us too.” I was amazed.

Because just imagine if I didn’t have them.Or worse, imagine if I had people around me whose direction was completely different from mine.

Proverbs 11:14 KJV says it plain, Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. And in Proverbs 15:22 KJV, Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

Don’t take the people around you for granted. God can use them to parent you, guide you, and steady you while you’re trying to steady everyone else.

So please, make this a prayer,“Lord, place the right counsel around me. People who hear You. People who will tell me what You’re saying, not just what I want to hear.”

And if you’re reading this and you don’t have anyone like that right now? I’m praying for you today. Father, in Jesus name, lead my sister, Your daughter. Surround her with wise, God-fearing people. Bring her into rooms, conversations, and relationships that carry Your wisdom. Amen.

Because you’re not supposed to do this alone, you're a daughter first. And God is raising you, sometimes through family, sometimes through friends, always through Him. Blessings.
