Weekly Conversation #8

Hey sis, quick truth today. But first, let me be honest.

Have you ever been in a place where you were searching for answers, but everything you read or heard felt hollow? That was me. My spirit was restless, and standard answers weren't cutting it. Then, I heard someone speak on the matter, and it completely blew my mind. It was the catalyst I needed.

Right after that, I came across a book by Kenneth E. Hagin, and I truly believe God placed it in my hands for that specific season. Reading about his own pursuit of truth challenged me. I decided right then and there: the confusion stops today. I was going to lock myself in with the Word and dig into the Scriptures for myself.

When I did, the Holy Spirit met me with an unexplainable peace and a profound depth of understanding.

Now, when I see people debating this topic on social media, I just have to smile. It’s easy to spot when someone is just repeating a popular opinion without understanding the weight of it.

We live in a culture that loves to share before it studies, and argue before it understands. But there is a depth available to us that a quick social media post can never capture.

My dear sisters, God never intended for us to remain as infants in the faith. We all know how children operate, they are reactive. One provocative TikTok sermon, one viral WhatsApp forward, or one passionate "hot take," and suddenly we are thrown right back into a spiral of confusion.

But mature women? We don’t just react. We discern.

There is a weight that comes with being anchored in the truth. When you are heavy with the Word of God, you develop roots. The winds of cultural opinion may blow, but you will not be easily uprooted. Depth gives you spiritual vision; it allows you to look past what is currently trending and see what is eternally true.

True stature in Christ makes you both unshakeable and undupable. Unshakeable, that's  Human opinions no longer have the power to move you. And Undupable, that means Deception can no longer trick you.

So, the next time a new teaching, a viral trend, or a loud opinion crosses your timeline, pause. Don’t react out of impulse. Instead, run it through the filter of Scripture. Take it to the Lord and ask, “Father, does this line up with Your heart, or is this just passing wind?”

• “Love is just a vibe; it doesn't need boundaries.”

• “God will understand if you compromise just this once.”
  

Take thirty seconds right now. Breathe. Open your Bible, and ask honestly,“Jesus, is this You talking to me, or is it just noise?”

We are not spiritual babies anymore, sis. We are daughters with deep roots. It's time to stand. Because at the end of the day, that is what true stature is all about. Blessings.
